Deconstructing Technology

The Big Bumbles have been fascinated by disassembling an obsolete printer this week. Not only have they loved using the screwdrivers, building their fine motor skills but their natural curiosity was piqued by what they found inside. The electronic circuit boards were of particular interest allowing an advanced development of vocabulary. Favourite pieces have been kept and may have even made it home. We found some cogged wheels Inside which also caused much comment especially when we talked about their ‘teeth’!
