Bus Trip

Last week our Honey Room took full advantage of the bridge between Ushaw Moor and New Brancepeth reopening. They boarded the bus outside of nursery and travelled up to New Brancepeth, staying on to do a full circle and arriving back to nursery. The children really enjoyed the experience of travelling on the bus, including waiting at the bus stop, putting their arms out for it to stop, paying the bus driver and being given a ticket. When their journey came to an end the children were encouraged to press the bell, so the driver knew when they wanted to get off. They saw all sorts of interesting things when they were travelling, including the local pet shop, a small river, many different vehicles and of course the new bridge
