Fine Motor Threading

This week in the Honeys we have been focusing on developing our fine motor skills and hand eye coordination through various activities. Once children develop strong fine motor skills, their muscles are strong enough that they can use a “pincer grip” (using their thumb and index finger) to hold things like a zip or a shoelace. To do this the children have been threading penne pasta onto pipe cleaners, this requires concentration and persistence.
