Group Maths

The Big Bumbles are very interested in a new maths resource this week. The Montessori style game emphasises relationships between numbers rather than just focussing on counting skills. This should help the children move onto numerical problem solving in the near future. Taking turns to work independently and sharing ideas as part of a team have both helped bring children on in their learning. We have also explored and used vocabulary to compare the lengths of the blocks including advanced phrases such as ‘one more than’. Great work yet again, Big Bumbles!
